Thunder Advance to Western Finals in Five over Lakers, 106 – 90 (from Daily Thunder)
Nothing super special here, just a great recap of last night’s game with some interesting details. I really see this series win as the end of this Lakers team as it’s constructed, and maybe the end of Kobe’s run as a championship contender. The Lakers were completely outmatched by the Thunder, and probably would have been by the Spurs as well.
Lakers/Thunder, Game 5: The End (from Forum Blue and Gold)
Not only a nice little recap of the series/game, but also an outlook going forward on the Lakers. My favorite part of this recap? They don’t blow up poor Mike Brown. Seriously, he did the best he could with that flawed roster… what do you want from him?
Dwight Howard Rumors: Orlando Magic Superstar “Wants Out of Orlando,” Despite Management Changes (from Orlando Pinstripe Post)
Annnnnnnd everything comes full circle. I think you’re looking at the Lakers brilliant rebuilding plan. For what it’s worth, I think clearing the deck (including SVG) is a good move. Sometimes you just have to bottom out and with a guy like SVG, I think it makes bottoming out hard. He’s that good of a coach.
